With almost 28 years of law enforcement experience, Officer Frank Klimjack has retired. Late this afternoon 151 called out of service for the last time.
A retirement lunchtime get together was held at Police Headquarters for Klimjack, who before coming to Batavia, spent 10 years with the State Parks Police.
“I will miss the relationships I have made here in the City and certainly miss my co-workers and that comradery with the guys,” says Klimjack.
He says he has mixed emotions about leaving the department and the area, but will not miss the high taxes. Klimjack and his wife will be moving to Tennessee in a few weeks.
His advice for future up and coming officers.
“You have to come in with an open mind and just be ready to work, its a great career, but you are going to have to work, its not your normal 9-5 where you get to go home every night.”
