Chase J. Kordasiewicz, 20, of Alden, was arrested following an investigation into a hit and run motor vehicle accident in the Town of Bennington.
At 3:02P.M. on April 13, 2019, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to Urf Road for a vehicle that had driven into a ditch with a possible intoxicated driver. While en route, the vehicle fled the scene. Minutes later, another 9-1-1 caller reported the same vehicle had driven off the roadway on Reilein Road, almost striking a pedestrian. A license plate number led deputies to South Shore Drive in Bennington where the vehicle was located at a residence. Following questioning, Kordasiewicz allegedly operated his vehicle in an intoxicated condition and was placed under arrest for misdemeanor DWI.
Kordasiewicz was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he supplied a breath test. He is charged with aggravated DWI with BAC of .18% or higher, DWI, reckless endangerment 2nd, criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd (fake ID), reckless driving, and numerous other vehicle and traffic infractions.
Kordasiewicz will answer the charges in the Town of Bennington Court on May 13, 2019 at 6:00P.M.
On April 15, 2019 Paul Schuler, 56, of Bennington, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after an incident on Tinkam road in Bennington.
Schuler is alleged to have paid for illegal drugs earlier this year and allowed a child under the age of 16 to use the drugs at his residence. The incident occurred on January 30, 2019.
Schuler was arraigned in Bennington Court and released on his own recognizance.
On April 14, 2019 at approximately 2:10A.M., Alfred H. Rex, 49, of Arcade, was arrested following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on East Arcade Road in the Town of Arcade.
Rex was involved in a single vehicle accident when his vehicle traveled off of the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled over.
He is charged with failure to keep right and DWI. Rex was issued appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Arcade Justice Court at a later date.
