Despite the cold rainy weather, kids and their families were ready for the 12th Annual Kiwanis Easter egg hunt at Centennial Park on Saturday morning.
Event Coordinator Matt Landers says because of the large turnout expected, Landers and his family spent the last few days filling 1,000 more eggs with candy.
In about 4 minutes, 5,000 eggs were scooped up by the large group of children ages baby-10 years old.
Afterwards, kids were able to meet the Easter Bunny and parents were able to snap a few photos.
