ON MAY 1, 2019, AS A RESULT OF AN ON GOING INVESTIGATION, AN INDIVIDUAL WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY BY THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE, THE ALBION POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE NEW YORK STATE POLICE. THE INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN WANTED SINCE NOVEMBER 6, 2017 ON A ORLEANS COUNTY INDICTMENT WARRANT FOR ROBBERY IN THE FIRST DEGREE
HE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY STOPPED IN A VEHILCE AS PART OF THE INVESTIGATION ON SOUTH MAIN ST. IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION.
POLICE ARRESTED:
· JASON T. WILLS, 33, OF JAY ST., ROCHESTER, N.Y., HE WAS WANTED ON AN ORLEANS COUNY INDICTMENT WARRANT FOR ROBBERY IN THE FIRST DEGREE ISSUED NOVEMBER 6, 2017. THE WARRANT WAS ISSUED RESULTING FROM AN INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED ON MARCH 11, 2016 INVESTIGATED BY THE MEDINA POLICE DEPT.
WILLS WAS ARRESTED BY THE MEDINA POLICE DEPT. ON JUNE 4, 2017 AND WAS ARRAIGNED IN THE TOWN OF SHELBY JUSTICE COURT BY THE HON. JOSEPH KUJAWA AND COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL ON $10,000.00 CAH BAIL $20,000.00 BOND.
ON JUNE 9, 2017 WILLS POSTED $20,000.00 BOND AND WAS RELEASED FROM JAIL AND DID NOT RETURN TO COURT.
WILLS WAS ARRAIGNED IN ORLEANS COUNTY COURT BY THE HON. SANFORD CHURCH, HE WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL WITHOUT BAIL, WILLS IS TO RETURN TO ORLEANS COUNTY COURT ON MAY 23, 2019 AT 9:30 A.M.
FURTHER CHARGES ARE PENDING IN THIS INVESTIGATION.
