Kaitlyn M. Reese, 26, of Machias, is facing numerous charges following a traffic stop on State Route 77 in the Town of Java.
On May 24th, at 10:44pm, Reese was operating a vehicle northbound on Route 77 and crossed the center yellow lines of the roadway, almost side swiping a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle that was traveling south.
While the Deputy was pursuing Reese’s vehicle, she was observed swerving into the opposite lane of travel again, almost striking another southbound vehicle. Reese was stopped for the failure to keep right violations and a roadside investigation showed Reese was consuming alcohol inside of her vehicle and driving while intoxicated.
Reese refused to submit to a chemical breath test and was transported to the Town of Warsaw Court for arraignment.
She is charged with felony DWI- due to a previous DWI conviction, reckless driving, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and two counts of failure to keep right. Reese’s license was suspended pending a chemical test refusal hearing and she was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bond. Reese is scheduled to appear in the Town of Java Court at a later date.
Deputies responded to Route 19A in the Town of Genesee Falls for a single car motor vehicle accident on May 18, 2019.
A vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed lost control causing the vehicle to go into the ditch and rollover several times.
One of the passengers was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight. The other three occupants of the vehicle were transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Laurent Dyanko, no age provided, was issued citations for speed not reasonable and prudent, unlicensed operator, and moving from a lane unsafely.
Dyanko is to answer the above uniform traffic tickets in Genesee Falls Town Court at a later date.
Leigh Ann Kruse, 38, of S. Wales was arrested following a traffic stop during the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Memorial Day DWI Crackdown Patrol.
Kruse was stopped on Route 78 in the Town of Sheldon for a traffic infraction, and she was found to be in illegal possession of Hydrocodone (Vicodin), Alprazolam (Xanax), and Buprenorphine (Suboxone).
Kruse was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and failure to dim headlamps. Kruse was released and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Sheldon Court on June 25, 2019.
Following a complaint regarding a violation of an order of protection, Robert G. Morse II, no age provided, of Wyoming, NY, was arrested for criminal contempt 2nd degree on May 21, 2019.
The District Attorney’s Office recommended that Morse be held on $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 bond. Morse was arraigned at the Town of Middlebury Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
Morse is to appear in Middlebury Court on June 17, 2019 to answer to the charge.
Hector J. Savage, 34, of Lugoff, South Carolina, was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 19 in the Town of Covington May 25, 2019.
Savage was stopped for traffic infractions when he was found to have a suspended learner’s permit. Savage was also wanted by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges.
Savage was arrested and charged in Wyoming County with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operator, uninspected motor vehicle, and illegal window tint.
Savage is scheduled to appear in the Town of Covington Court on June 24, 2019 to answer the charges. Savage was then transported to the Town of Batavia where he was turned over to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.
