On June 29, 2019, at around 7:32p.m., Officer Harding was operating stationary patrol on South Main Street when he observed a 2002 GMC Yukon traveling northbound into the Village of Perry with an expired inspection.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver admitted to smoking marijuana before operating the vehicle and admitted to having suspensions on his license.
After running a license check on the driver, it was discovered that he had 11 active suspensions on his license and an active warrant out of the Rochester Police Department.
Following the investigation, Wilmer King III, 35, of Rochester was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 1st degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, DWAI Drugs, uninspected motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, failure to notify DMV of address change, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
King was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Errington, in the Town of Warsaw Court, and was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is due to appear in the Village of Perry Court at a later date.
On June 30, 2019, at around 12:10a.m., Officer Harding was patrolling south on North Center Street when he observed a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with an expired inspection.
Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that the driver, Harlee L. Wood, 22, of Castile, had 10 active suspensions on her license.
Following the investigation, Wood was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 1st degree, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, driving while intoxicated – 1st offense, operating motor vehicle w/ .08 of 1% BAC or greater, uninspected motor vehicle, and unlicensed operator.
Wood was transported to the Perry Police Department for processing and was released with appearance tickets. Wood is due to appear in the Village of Perry Court at a later date.
