Kevin L. Richardson, 46, of Perry, was arrested and now faces charges in two townships following a traffic complaint on July 21, 2019.
Wyoming County 911 received a call at 8:22p.m. about a northbound Chevrolet Cobalt on Silver Lake Road in the Town of Perry which had run a vehicle off the roadway nearly striking it head-on.
Deputies responded to the area and intercepted the vehicle on Silver Lake Road at Old State Road in the Town of Covington. Deputies observed the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and fail to keep right, and Richardson was also alleged to have thrown a drink out of his vehicle while deputies were pursuing him.
Richardson was stopped on Route 19 in the Town of Covington where he was found to be the only occupant of his vehicle. Richardson performed poorly on field sobriety testing, and he also refused to submit to a pre-screen breath test.
He was taken into custody and arrested for DWI. Richardson then refused to submit to chemical testing to determine the alcohol or drug content of his blood. He is charged with DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, depositing refuse on a highway, refusal of pre-screen breath test, failure to notify DMV of change of address, failure to stop at stop sign, and failure to keep right.
Richardson was arraigned in the Town of Covington Court where his license was suspended pending a DMV Hearing for his refusal to submit to a chemical test. Richardson was then released by the Covington Judge to the pre-trial release supervision program. Richardson was scheduled for further court action in Covington Court on October 21, 2019.
Following further investigation into the original traffic complaint, Richardson was again arrested on July 23, 2019 and charged with reckless driving in the Town of Perry for the incident where he forced another vehicle off the roadway.
Richardson was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Perry Court on August 7, 2019.
Jaime L. Beals, 38, of Portageville, was arrested following the issuance of a warrant for her arrest by the Wyoming County Probation Department.
Deputies responded to a residence on Route 19A in the Town of Genesee Falls to attempt a warrant of arrest on Beals for a violation of felony probation on July 29, 2019. During the investigation, Beals ran from Deputies and following a search of the area, she was ultimately taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
Beals is charged with obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree and resisting arrest on top of the felony warrant.
She was transported to the Wyoming County Jail and held without bail and is scheduled to answer the warrant and charges in Wyoming County Court on July 30, 2019.
Assisting at the scene were the New York State Police and New York State Parks Police.
Following a traffic stop on Robinson Road in the Town of Eagle on July 18, 2019, the operator of the vehicle, Amy M. Morgan, 42, of Warsaw, was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Morgan was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, failing to stop at a stop sign, and failing to use a turning signal.
Morgan was arraigned in the Town of Eagle court where she was released on her own recognizance. She is to appear in Eagle Town Court on September 16, 2019 to answer to the charges.
Lindsay A. Clemm, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 19 at Davies Road in the Town of Warsaw on July 28, 2019.
Clemm was stopped for speeding, 56mph in a 30mph speed zone, on South Main Street near Jefferson Street in the Village of Warsaw on July 28, 2019.
Multiple other traffic infractions were observed in the Town of Warsaw while deputies attempted to get Clemm’s vehicle to pull over. During a roadside investigation, Clemm failed field sobriety testing and was taken into custody for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Clemm’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and she was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where she underwent a drug influence evaluation by a drug recognition expert.
Clemm was ultimately charged with DWAI/Drugs and speed in zone.
Clemm was processed then released to a third party.
Clemm is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Warsaw Court on August 12, 2019.
Following a traffic stop for a loud muffler violation on Route 19 in the Town of Covington on July 27, 2019, the driver, James K. Penders, 47, of Pavilion, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree.
Penders was found to have a revoked license, dated 06/22/1996 and an expired license dated 03/16/1995.
Penders was released with appearance tickets and is to appear in Covington Town Court on August 12, 2019 to answer to the charges.
