BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Dellinger avenue man arrested while appearing in court

Kaleb J. Bobzien, 21, of Dellinger Ave., Batavia, was arrested in Batavia City Court when he appeared for sentencing on an unrelated matter on September 24, 2019.

Bobzien is accused of violating a stay away order of protection and is charged with criminal contempt 1st.

He was processed and arraigned in City Court in front of Judge Balbick and ordered to be held on $10,000 cash/bond bail.

Bobzien is due back in court on October 4, 2019 at 2:30p.m.

Michael E. Weichman, 24, of W. Main Rd., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration 2nd and conspiracy 6th after allegedly shoplifting at the Dollar General store at 412 E. Main street on September 18, 2019.

Weichman attempted to flee from police during the incident.

He is scheduled to appear in City Court on October 1, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Steven M. Lindner, 46, of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting from the Dollar General store at 412 East Main street on September 23, 2019.

Lindner was issued an appearance ticket and released. He will appear in City Court on October 1, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Austin M. Hejza, 24, of Argus Dr., Depew, turned himself in at the Batavia Police Department on September 24, 2019 on an arrest warrant issued out of City Court from July 27, 2019.

Hejza is facing the charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, unlawful possession of marijuana and passing a red light.

He was processed at police headquarters and arraigned in City Court in front of Judge Balbick and released on his own recognizance.

Hejza is due back in court on October 8, 2019 at 1:30p.m.

Andrew J. Rock, 33, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd following an investigation into an alleged violation of an order of protection on September 4, 2019.

Rock, who is currently incarcerated at the Genesee County Jail, was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on October 1, 2019 at 1:00p.m.
