Two area men are behind bars following an extensive investigation into a suspected heroin overdose death this past September in the Town of Perry.
Kristofer Hubbard, 36, of Silver Springs, is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and hindering prosecution in the 2nd after allegedly assisting with arranging for others to buy narcotics from another individual and then lied to investigators in regards to his alleged involvement.
Hubbard is currently being held in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
Also charged is Dustin Hernandez, 34, of Castile. He is charged with tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution 2nd.
Hernandez allegedly hid and destroyed evidence at the crime scene and also lied to investigators in regards to his involvement and knowledge of the alleged incident.
Hernandez is currently being held in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.
Several search warrants were executed during this investigation and additional arrest(s) and or charges are still possible.
Out of respect to the victim’s family, no other information will be released in regards to the victim’s identity.
Investigators were assisted by members of the Sheriff’s Road Patrol, Forensic Unit, as well as members of the District Attorney’s Office.
