The Kiwanis Club of Batavia and Batavia’s Original have teamed up again to sponsor a very popular community event, the Kids Halloween Parade will be held on Sunday, October 27th this year.
This is the second year that Kiwanis has partnered with Batavia’s Original on this fun, free, family event that has been around since the 1990s. The parade starts at 1:00p.m.in front of Dan’s Tire & Auto, behind the mall, and ends at Batavia’s Original.
Kids should start lining up around 12:45p.m.
“Its definitely great for the community,” says Kathy Ferrara, owner of Batavia’s Original.
“These kids are our next generation, they are going to be our next customers, we want it to be memorable for them.”
The parade is rain or shine, so dress appropriately. When the parade concludes at Batavia’s Original, there will be a “Party in the Parking Lot” with music and games for the kids, along with a magician, face painting and a costume judging contest with prizes for the best costumes.
Anywhere from 100-500 kids usually participate in the free event, depending on the weather.
