BATAVIA/City Council to move forward with reducing the deer population

City Council met last evening and has decided to move forward with controlling the deer population in the City of Batavia.

Through some investigating by City Manager Dr. Martin Moore and some advice from the NYS DEC, a new Deer Committee will be formed that will look into all options, hopefully sooner than later.

Also discussed was the traffic and parking in the area of the new stadium on Union street.

The speed limit at the s curves on Jefferson. The sales tax agreement with the County, along with the water agreement.

Police Chief Shawn Heubusch also updated council on the MRAP vehicle that is currently being outfitted as a rescue vehicle.
