Two men are facing weapons charges following a traffic stop on Route 19 at Dewitt Road in the Town of Pike on November 23, 2019.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a traffic stop for speeding and lane change infractions on a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver, Jeffrey J. Hogue, 52, of Tonawanda, NY, was found to have seven active suspensions on his driver’s license.
The passenger, Brian M. Siwa, 43, of Cheektowaga, NY, was the registered owner of the vehicle. Three long guns were discovered inside the vehicle, and both Hogue and Siwa were determined to be convicted felons. Both Hogue and Siwa were arrested and charged as follows:
Hogue: criminal possession of a weapon 4th, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operation, speed in zone, and failure to keep right.
Siwa: criminal possession of a weapon 4th and facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd.
Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Pike Court where they were released to the pre-trial release supervision program. Hogue and Siwa are scheduled to return to the Town of Pike Court on December 17, 2019 for further proceedings.
On November 23, 2019, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Town Wethersfield for a report of an out of control 17 year old.
Upon arrival, the juvenile fled the scene on foot. It was reported to the responding Deputy that the juvenile had been pacing with a knife while awaiting the return of his father.
Two deputies and a trooper began a check of the area. The juvenile tried to sneak around one deputy and the trooper, but ran into the third deputy.
The juvenile instantly became combative and after a short struggle, the juvenile was taken into custody and subsequently charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief 3rd . The juvenile is to answer the charges at a later date.
