A Warsaw man is facing numerous charges following a short pursuit on Wilder Road in the Town of Warsaw on November 29, 2019.
At around 6:40p.m., the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 complaint of a possible motor vehicle accident on Truesdell Road in the Town of Warsaw.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the accident and initially did not locate any vehicles. One vehicle was found parked roadside just south of the accident location and the vehicle pulled out in front of Investigator Anderson, almost causing a collision.
Investigator Anderson attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to pull over for the lights and siren and continued southbound on Truesdell Road onto Wilder Road.
A short pursuit ensued and the vehicle was stopped on Wilder Road just before Buck Road after Sgt. Aaron Chase joined the pursuit and was able to get in front of the vehicle and slow it down to a stop.
The driver of the vehicle, Brian M. Boitschenko, 38, of Warsaw, was immediately taken into custody and charged with DWI.
Boitschenko refused a breath test and was subsequently charged with felony DWI (prior DWI conviction), resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, reckless driving, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Boitschenko was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where his license was suspended for refusing a breath test and he was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on no bail to due prior felony convictions. He will return to the Town of Warsaw Court on December 9, 2019 at 5:00p.m.
On December 2, 2019, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Warsaw Police Officers, arrested Todd A. Weigert, 24, of South Main Street in the Village of Warsaw.
Weigert was wanted by Wyoming County Superior Court for violation of probation. Weigert had been sentenced to five years of probation following a 2019 conviction for attempted burglary 3rd.
Weigert was located at his South Main Street apartment and taken into custody without incident.
Weigert was arraigned in Wyoming County Court in front of Judge Mohun where he was committed to the Wyoming County Jail without bail. Weigert is scheduled for further court action on December 12, 2019.
