On December 6, 2019 at about 12:59a.m., Officers from the Village of Perry conducted a routine traffic stop for speed in zone.
Upon stopping the vehicle, it was found that the driver, Emily V. Salvatore, 37, of Perry, was operating a motor vehicle with an expired license dating back to 2014.
Salvatore’s operating privilege had been suspended three times on 2 dates.
Further investigation revealed Salvatore to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol and she was asked to submit to field sobriety testing. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Salvatore was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Salvatore later refused to take a breath test to determine her BAC.
Along with being charged with DWI, Salvatore is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the 1st degree, 2nd degree, and 3rd degree.
Salvatore was ticketed for speed in zone, unlicensed operator, and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court in front of Honorable Judge Fusani.
Salvatore was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash and $2500.00 bond. She will return to court on January 14, 2020 in Perry Village Court to answer the charges.
