BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Jackson street man charged with strangulation

Jeremy M. Fairbanks, 41, of Jackson St., Batavia, is charged with strangulation 2nd following an investigation into a domestic dispute on Jackson street on December 13, 2019.

Fairbanks was arraigned in City Court and ordered to be held without bail at the Genesee County Jail.

He re-appeared in court on December 19, 2019.

Edward G. Ruckdeschel, 57, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle 2nd, grand larceny 4th and criminal possession of stolen property 4th, after a stolen vehicle complaint on December 7, 2019.

Ruckdeschel allegedly stole a vehicle from a parking lot of a business in the City of Batavia.

He was arraigned in City Court and held without bail.

Ruckdeschel re-appeared in court on December 17, 2019.

Jose Fuentes, 39, of Bank St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd after an incident at 278 Bank street on December 13, 2019.

Fuentes was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in court on December 24, 2019 at 1:30p.m.
