BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Washington avenue man arrested after disturbance on S. Main street

Ahdeosun R. Aiken, 21, of Washington Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st, burglary 1st, criminal mischief 4th, assault 3rd and robbery 2nd after a disturbance on S. Main street on December 21, 2019 at 1:35a.m.

Aiken was located by police hiding in an upstairs bedroom after the incident.

Aiken was arraigned in City Court and was held on $10,000 cash bail and $20,000 bond bail, also 10% deposit.

He returned to court on December 23, 2019.

John J. Saddler Jr., 32, homeless, of Batavia, is charged with burglary 2nd and criminal contempt 1st, prior conviction for aggravated criminal contempt within the past 5 years, after a disturbance on Washington avenue on December 20, 2019 at 2:02p.m.

After an investigation, it was found that Saddler violated a stay away order of protection by being at the residence on Washington avenue.

Saddler was arrested and arraigned and ordered held. He re-appeared in City Court on December 24, 2019.

Matthew J. Reed, 35, of Hutchins Pl., Batavia, is charged with trespass after he was located on property off of Park avenue on December 14, 2019. He was previously banned from being on the property.

Reed was released on an appearance ticket and appeared in City Court on December 24, 2019.
