Charles E. Cooper, 36, of W. Seneca St., Lodi, NY is charged with burglary 1st, robbery 1st, forcible theft with a dangerous instrument, and grand larceny 3rd, property exceeding $3,000, after he forced his way into a residence on Clinton street road in Stafford on November 5, 2019.
Cooper allegedly verbally threatened the homeowners with a dangerous instrument, a Crossman Duel Ammo full metal revolver pellet gun, and stole over $3,000 in cash from the residents.
It is believed that Cooper was familiar with the residence and specifically targeted the residence.
Today, Cooper was arraigned in Stafford Town Court after being released from the hospital after he was shot by the homeowner during the incident on November 5, 2019.
He is being held at the Genesee County Jail on $50,000 bail. Cooper will re-appear in Stafford Town Court on January 7, 2020 at 9:00a.m.
