An investigation into the discovery of stolen property found in a storage unit in the Town of Warsaw, a storage shed in the Village of Perry, and at a residence in the Town of Warsaw, has led to the indictment of Gary Wayne Hensley, 44, of Warsaw and Valorie A. Bowers, 36, of Dansville.
On January 6, 2020, the Wyoming County Sheriff Office with the assistance of Warsaw Police Department, conducted a search of a storage shed in Warsaw, NY. A large quantity of suspected stolen firearms, tools, jewelry and other property was discovered inside the storage shed. Following this discovery, more searches were conducted at the suspect’s former residence and a second storage shed in Perry, NY. Additional stolen property was discovered at both locations.
The property that was recovered was linked to 13 burglaries that occurred throughout Western New York including Genesee, Wyoming, Erie and Cattaraugus counties. The burglaries occurred during the summer and fall of 2019 and included firearms, ammunition, jewelry, coins, tools and miscellaneous property.
An estimated value of $10,000 worth of stolen property was recovered in total. This includes 2 handguns and 6 long guns. It is believed that more burglaries are connected to property recovered, and the investigation is on going.

Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree Class C Felony (2 counts) –possession of two stolen loaded handguns
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree Class D Felony- possession of property exceeding $3,000
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree Class E Felony (2 counts)- possession of stolen firearms
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree Class A Misdemeanor (2 counts)
Gary Hensley charges:

Bowers was arraigned on her charges in Wyoming County Court on February 6, 2020. She was released on her own recognizance, and she is scheduled to appear again in County Court on April 9, 2020.
Hensley was arraigned on his charges in Wyoming County Court on February 6, 2020. He was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in County Court again on April 9, 2020.
