Coby W. Cox, 27, of Shearing Rd., Gainesville, faces felony charges in multiple jurisdictions following a joint investigation between the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, and United States Secret Service.
On the morning of February 14, 2020, Warsaw Police received the report of a fraudulent $40.00 gas purchase at the 7 Eleven gas station on South Main Street. The purchase had happened the night prior on February 13, 2020, and the suspect had paid with two counterfeit United States $20.00 dollar bills. Warsaw Police took custody of the two counterfeit United States $20.00 dollar bills.
Later in the morning of February 14, 2020, Walmart Security contacted the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office to report a male suspect in their store attempting to purchase a Playstation gaming console with $280.00 worth of counterfeit United States $20.00 dollar bills. An alert cashier had found the $20.00 bills suspicious and stopped the transaction.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to investigate and found Cox to be in possession of 16 total counterfeit United States $20.00 bills. Following an interview, Cox was cooperative and was escorted to his residence in the Town of Gainesville where he turned over an additional 73 counterfeit United States $20.00 dollar bills. In all, Cox was determined to have possessed at least 91 counterfeit United States $20.00 dollar bills. Cox is charged as follows:

Cox was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court and Warsaw Village Court on both felony charges. Cox was then released from custody and will appear on March 2, 2020 on both cases.
Donovan K. Hubbard, 18, of Pike, was arrested following a traffic stop on Main Street at Water Street in the Town of Pike on February 11, 2020. Hubbard was stopped for having a headlight out, and was then found to allegedly be in possession of concentrated cannabis and marijuana.
Hubbard was taken into custody following field sobriety testing and taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a drug influence evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert. Hubbard was found to be impaired by the combined influence of cannabis and alcohol and was subsequently charged as follows:

Hubbard was issued an appearance ticket and scheduled to appear in the Town of Pike Court on February 25, 2020 at 7:00p.m. to answer the charges.
