Notre Dame Senior Isabelle Cooper has been working with Challenger Sports kids for about 5 years and she wanted to bring something new to them.
On Tuesday afternoon, Challenger Sports held their first ice skating session at Falleti Ice arena. The ice rink offered an hour of ice time to the group free of charge. Three Notre Dame hockey players volunteered to help the kids on the ice.
“This was something I’ve never seen them do,” says Cooper.
“This is an out of the ordinary type thing and I really like bringing this to them.”
Cooper is planning on attending U of R and studying in the medical field. She is planning to continue with future ice skating Challenger Sports sessions.
