Statement by the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors April 9, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented crisis the County of Wyoming has never seen before. All County officials are adapting the best they can to address this new and ever changing situation. There is a lot of uncertainty and it’s hard for many community members to understand.

However, working with the assistance of the County IT Department, Town Supervisors, County Departments and the Wyoming County Community Health System, we are in constant communication through tele-communications several times a day.

As always, everyone in Wyoming County Government has the best interest of its citizens in mind.

The Board of Supervisors has established an Emergency Operations Center to focus on doing everything in their power to obtain necessary supplies for First Responders and the Hospital.

The Town Supervisors and the County Departments will continue daily communications until this pandemic is under control. Our goal is first and foremost to protect Public Health, help our local businesses to survive, and provide guidance both during and after this difficult time.
