Denise Holt and Rhonda Lund of Mother Nature’s Enterprises are offering free lawn mowing to frontline workers who are putting in a lot of hours and sometimes away from their families.
The Mother Nature’s Crew stopped at the home of Michelle Johnson this afternoon. Michelle is a Per Diem Nurse who is currently helping out at the Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, NY.
Michelle, who was previously at Highland Hospital, has been taking care of COVID-19 patients since just after Easter. Her husband Ronnie has been working from home for about 10 hours a day. Michelle will be in Rockville Centre until at least June 13th.
“My family has been great, my mother in-law, my sister in-law, my kids they have all chipped in and helped out,” says Ronnie.
With spring turning to summer and the grass starting to grow quickly, Ronnie says having his lawn mowed is one less thing he has to worry about.
“We’ve seen a lot of good come out of this community and we just want to help out,” says Holt.
“Its a good idea to help out the first responders and give them a little break on what they have to be responsible for.”
With the help of Annette Kosciolek Lazarevic, Mother Nature’s Enterprises has found about 15 families to assist with their lawn mowing.
“I like mowing lawns, so why not just do their lawns a few times so they don’t have to worry about it,” says Lund.
Ronnie says he appreciates what Mother Nature’s is doing.
“I’m stuck in my house from 8:00am in the morning until 7:30 at night, I’m on the computer so I don’t get that luxury, so I appreciate what they are doing, it will help me out a great deal.”
Today, was the first stop for Mother Nature’s Enterprises in assisting families of frontline workers. If you know of a family who could use some help contact Mother Nature’s Enterprises at 585-343-5042 or go to their website https://www.mothernaturesenterprises.com/
