Two drivers were arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on May 31, 2020.
Sylvain A. Do-Rego was operating a 2007 Ford westbound on Route 20A following a 2013 Honda being operated by Noe G. Gonzalez, and both were pulled over for speeding.
Do-Rego and Gonzalez, who did not know each other, were both found to be driving with active suspensions on their drivers licenses. Do-Rego was found to have 12 active suspensions for failure to answer traffic tickets, and Gonzalez was found to have 4 active suspensions for failure to answer tickets and failure to pay fines.
Both were arrested and processed at the scene for the same charges of speeding in a zone and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd.
Both drivers are scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Sheldon Court on August 3, 2020. Do-Rego’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and Gonzalez’s vehicle was moved from the scene by a valid driver.
On May 31, 2020, Deputies were patrolling northbound on Route 19 in the Town of Warsaw, when a gray 2009 Saturn was observed traveling northbound with a suspended registration.
A traffic enforcement stop was initiated near Mungers Mill Road.
The driver of the vehicle, Ashely K. Marshall, 28, of Batavia, was arrested and issued appearance tickets for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, uninspected motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with broken glass.
Marshall was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court at a later date.
On May 18, 2020, Deputies were advised of a motor vehicle traveling westbound on Route 20A near Christ Road, in the Town of Warsaw, driving erratically passing multiple vehicles on a double solid line and speeding.
Deputies attempted to intercept the suspect vehicle in Varysburg, but the vehicle made it through the area before deputies could locate it.
Fifteen minutes later, deputies received another traffic complaint of a vehicle, matching the description of the previous erratic operator complaint, traveling westbound on Buffalo Hill and almost striking another vehicle head-on. Deputies were advised the suspect vehicle pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway and the operator claimed he ran out of gas.
Deputies arrived on scene and identified Zachary P. Liberatore, 24, of Orchard Park, NY, as the operator of the vehicle.
Liberatore was put through standardized field sobriety testing, after showing signs of intoxication, and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Liberatore was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test, which showed Liberatore had a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater.
Liberatore is charged with DWI and driving with a BAC of .08% or more. He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.
