The March For Justice on Sunday morning is just the beginning, say organizers Victor Thomas, Brandon Armstrong, Greg Munroe II, and Ray Williams.
Unlike other cities in the region, Batavia’s March for Justice to end racism, police harassment and brutality was a peaceful one.
The group expressed their concerns to City Council President Eugene Jankowski, Police Chief Shawn Heubusch, Sheriff William Sheron, Undersheriff Brad Mazur, LeRoy Police Chief Chris Hayward and Superintendent of City of Batavia Schools, Anibal Soler Jr.

After demonstrating in front of City Hall, the group marched west on Main street to the Genesee County Jail.
