Press release
Starting Friday August 28th, be on the lookout for the Community Action of Orleans and Genesee’s “ice cream bus.”
The bus will be driving through City of Batavia neighborhoods and stopping at designated areas shown in the photo below. At these stops, a mobile 2020 Census lab will be set up complete with Chromebooks and free WiFi to encourage and assist residents in filling out the 2020 Census online at
My2020Census.gov.
Residents that have filled out their Census will receive free Perry’s ice cream sandwiches. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Just over a third of County households have yet to respond to the 2020 Census.
Only a month remains in the once a decade head count of our nation. An undercount will mean that over the next ten years our communities will have to do with fewer of our tax dollars coming back to fund government services and programs and will have wide negative implications on healthcare, education, emergency services as well as
the potholes in your streets.
Go to My2020Census.gov and fill out your Census today and find us for some delicious ice cream!
