o Genesee County received 5 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 308 positive cases
§ The new positive cases reside in Alabama, Elba, and Oakfield.
§ Two of the individuals are between the ages of 0-20, one is in their 20’s, one is in their 30’s, and one is in their 60’s.
§ The individuals were not on mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive.
§ 14 new individuals are on precautionary quarantine due to travel from restricted states.
§ One of the positive individuals is hospitalized.
o Orleans County received 0 new positive cases of COVID-19 maintaining a total of 317 positive cases
§ 9 new individuals are on precautionary quarantine due to travel from restricted states.

Nursing Home Visitation: New guidance for skilled nursing facility visitation:

The state is requiring the facilities to have visitors provide proof of negative COVID-19 test results within 7 days of visit. This may result in multiple tests to continue to visit your loved ones. Travel Advisory:
New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut announced that as of 06/25/20 travelers from the following states with high coronavirus rates will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days.
· As of 09/28/20, states include (new states are underlined): California, Maryland, New Mexico, Ohio, and Washington. The following states were removed: Guam, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming. Those violating could be subject to a judicial order and mandatory quarantine and potential fines. These states may change at any time. Click here for more information. As a reminder, any out-of- country travel will require a 14-day mandatory quarantine and travel to any of the restricted states will require a 14-day precautionary quarantine. · Traveler Health Form: For all out-of-state travelers from NYS restricted states, whether arriving by land or air, must self-identify by completing a traveler health form or be subject to a $2,000 fine. Testing: If you are being tested for COVID-19 it is important that you self-quarantine until you get your test results whether you have symptoms or not. If you are symptomatic, meaning you are coughing, have a fever or other symptoms, self-quarantine even if you are an essential worker until you get your results back, if you have COVID-19 you may be spreading it! That means to stay home and limit contact with other people, even in your household. Reminder: According to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.45, all non-essential gatherings of up to 50 individuals of any size for any reason (graduation parties, celebrations, weddings, or other social events at public facilities or private venues) unless otherwise designated (ex. Religious gatherings), are now allowed for those regions in phase 4. So long as appropriate social distancing, wearing cloth masks/face coverings over their mouth and nose, and cleaning and disinfection protocol requirements are followed.
