Michael S. Tomaszewski, 48, of Edgewood Drive, Batavia, is charged with seven counts of grand larceny 3rd, a class D felony, grand larceny 4th, a class E felony, three counts of petit larceny and four counts of failing to deposit monies, as a result of the continuing investigation into monies paid to him for prepaid funerals and grave markers which were not used for their intended purposes.
The new charges stem from eleven victims who came forward and were identified following Tomaszewski’s initial arrest on July 23, 2020.
He was arraigned virtually today by Judge Zambito and released on his own recognizance.
The case continues to be investigated by Investigator Chris Parker and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
