A Perry woman is facing welfare charges after she allegedly failed to report her household income to the Department of Social Services.
Lori A. Stevens, 58, is charged with welfare fraud 4th, a felony, after an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services.
It is alleged that Stevens failed to report all household income. By failing to report all income she received $2,476.00 in county taxpayer benefits that she was not entitled to.
Stevens has a return court date in the Town of Warsaw Court on November 9, 2020.
Following a traffic stop on Route 98 in the Town of Arcade on October 19, 2020, Mark R. Bell, 37, of Rushford, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd.
Bell was released to a licensed driver with an appearance ticket and will appear in Arcade Town Court at a later date to answer to the charge.
Following a traffic stop for speeding on Route 63 in the Town of Covington on October 17, 2020, the driver of the vehicle, Jeffrey N. White, 20, of Elmira, NY, was arrested and charged with DWAI/drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operator, and speeding in a 55 MPH zone.
White was processed and released with an appearance ticket and will appear in Covington Town Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
