ORLEANS COUNTY/Sheriff’s Dept./Monthly Report- November 2020

In the month of November, the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department 911 Dispatch Center processed 1736 police incidents, including 673 events for Sheriff’s Road Patrol, 182 for the New York State Police and 881 calls for the Village police agencies of Lyndonville, Medina, Albion, and Holley.

There were 654 Fire/EMS related calls dispatched countywide with 407 of those calls emergency medical in nature and 3 drug overdoses.

Sheriff’s Dept. Road Patrol Deputies handled 95 automobile accidents, including 12 with injury and car-deer collisions. Road patrol, also, made 100 service attempts and successfully served 40 subpoenas, civil, or court papers.

The Sheriff’s Animal Control Division handled 77 incidents including 19 stray or loose animals, 2 animal bite complaints, 8 neighbor dog problems, and several other miscellaneous animal calls. In addition, 3 animals were taken in to shelter on a voluntary surrender.

The Orleans County Jail processed in 35 new inmates and handled one transport to a medical appointment.
