(Warsaw, NY) The Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office is pleased to announce the 2020 award winners for Large, Small, Tourism Attraction, Tourism Business, and Most Promising New businesses of the year.
This year, the Chamber invited the public to nominate their favorite business, and the Board of Directors voted on the finalists based a number of great nominations in each category.
This year’s awardees are:
Large Business of the Year – Country Line Electric Supply in Silver Springs, NY
Small Business of the Year – Tackbary’s Trophies and Gifts in Warsaw, NY
Tourism Attraction of the Year – Letchworth State Park, Genesee Region in Castile, NY
Tourism Business of the Year – Windy Brew in Sheldon, NY
Most Promising New Business of the Year – Butter Meat Co. in Perry, NY
“We were excited to receive a great group of nominations from the community this year, and we sincerely congratulate the winners for their many contributions to the quality of life and economy of Wyoming
County,” said Scott Gardner, president and CEO of the Wyoming County Chamber & Tourism office.
“These awardees represent a diversity of services within their business sectors and some of the very best that Wyoming County has to offer. We are sincerely pleased as an organization, to recognize them for their
continued growth and success.”
“We are very grateful for all the excellent nominations and it was a thoughtful process in selecting these outstanding awardees,” said Norb Fuest, Chairman of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce Board
of Directors. “Each of these businesses and organizations are contributing to the economy in countless ways and creating a better community for all the residents and visitors to Wyoming County.”
Awardees were nominated and selected based on criteria that includes their contributions to the economic vitality and quality of life of Wyoming County; capital investments; business expansions; job growth and
retention; community involvement; and their contributions that strengthen their particular business sector in Wyoming County.
In previous years, the awards are presented at the Chamber’s annual awards reception. Due to the COID19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, the event was not held and instead awardees will receive their
awards from a visit from Chamber staff. The awardees will be recognized in the media, on social media, and the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
The Chamber’s 2020 Agri-Business of the Year award was presented earlier in the year to the Boxler Family, at the annual Pride of Agriculture dinner held in early March.
