Wayne D. Potter, 37, homeless, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd and menacing 2nd, after a disturbance at 111 Liberty street on January 11, 2021 at 1:30pm.
Potter allegedly brandished a knife during the incident.
According to police, Potter has previous felony convictions. He was arraigned in City Court in front of Judge Rogers via virtual arraignment, and held without bail.
Potter will re-appear in City Court on February 25, 2021 at 2:30pm.
Nathan P. Rich, 32, of Sherman Ct., Atlanta, Illinois, is charged with strangulation 2nd after a domestic incident at a city residence on January 6, 2021 at 7:40p.m.
Rich allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck, applying pressure and causing stupor in the victim. He was arrested at the residence and transported to the Genesee County Jail, where he was processed and virtually arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers.
Rich was held on $10,000 A, $20,000 B, and $40,000 E. He is scheduled to re-appear in City Court on February 11, 2021 at 2:30p.m.
Jose A. Rivera, 34, of Swan St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd and burglary 2nd, following an investigation into a domestic incident on January 10, 2021, at a residence in the City of Batavia at 4:09a.m.
Rivera allegedly violated an order of protection and burglarized a house.
He was arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers and held on bail. He will appear in court on February 17, 2021.
Charles J. Rodriguez, 44, of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with bail jumping 3rd, after allegedly missing several scheduled court appearances in City Court.
Rodriguez was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers in City Court and was released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He will re-appear in court on February 25, 2021 at 2:30p.m.
James F. Perry Sr., 35, of Central Ave., Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of City Court on January 12, 2021 at UMMC, after an alleged domestic incident on October 7, 2020 at a residence in the City of Batavia.
Perry is charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, disobeying a mandate by a judge, aggravated family offense/more than one offense within 5 years, and criminal contempt 1st/ violating an order of protection/physical contact.
He was transported to the Genesee County Jail and arraigned .
Perry was remanded to the jail on $1,000 A, $2,000B and $2,000E. He will return to court on February 18, 2021 at 1:30p.m.
Alexandro Rodriguez, 24, of Dellinger Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, burglary 2nd, harassment 2nd and unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, after violating an order of protection that was issued earlier in the day on January 13, 2021, ordering him to stay away from a residence in the City of Batavia.
He was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers and jailed on $1,000A, $2,000B or $4,000E. Rodriguez re-appeared in court on January 13, 2021 at 11:00a.m.
Erica L. Frith, 37, of Gateway Dr., Batavia, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from a lane unsafely and violation of a restricted license, after an investigation into a property damage accident at 65 S. Main street on January 10, 2021 at 1:26p.m.
Frith was driving west on S. Main street, when she allegedly struck a parked City of Batavia Police vehicle. She then left the scene of the accident, but was stopped a short time later on W. Main street.
Further investigation revealed that Frith was allegedly operating in an intoxicated condition and in violation of a restricted use license.
She was issued uniform traffic tickets and will appear in City Court on March 3, 2021 at 9:00a.m.
Paula G. Pierce, 28, of State St., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th, after allegedly intentionally damaging the property of another person during an argument at an address on East avenue on January 11, 2021 at 6:53p.m.
Pierce was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on March 23, 2021 at 1:00p.m.
Robert M. Price, 35, of Pearl St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th, following a domestic incident where Price allegedly damaged property during an argument on River street on January 13, 2021 at 8:50p.m.
Price was arraigned in front of Judge Burns in City Court, who issued an order of protection. Price was released on his own recognizance and will re-appear in court on March 4, 2021 at 1:30p.m.
