GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia woman charged after shoplifting incident at retail store

Jamie L. Broadbent, 38, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child after a shoplifting complaint at Walmart on Veteran’s Memorial Drive on January 17, 2021 at 3:55p.m.

Broadbent allegedly stole property by passing all points of purchase and not paying. She was also allegedly in the presence of a juvenile.

Broadbent was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Batavia Court on March 4, 2021 t 1:00p.m.

Thomas J. Leonard, 37, of Harvester Ave., Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant from September of 2020, for criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell and criminal sale of a narcotic drug on January 20, 2021.

Due to bail reform, Leonard was released under the supervision of Genesee Justice, and will reappear in Batavia City Court on March 23, 2021 at 10:00am.
