Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Route 19 in the Town of Middlebury on March 8, 2021, for a domestic incident. After an investigation, it was found that Timothy Coney, 43, of Middlebury, had a physical and verbal altercation with an intimate partner which led to damaged property. A child was also present during the altercation.
A refrain from order of protection was in effect protecting the victim from Coney.
Coney is charged with harassment 2nd, acting in manner injurious to child less than 17, criminal mischief 4th degree/prevent emergency call, criminal mischief 4th degree/damaged property and criminal contempt 1st /physical contact.
Coney was virtually arraigned in front of Judge Errington with a public defender present. He was committed to the Wyoming County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash, $10,000 bond and $20,000 partially secured bond. A full stay away order of protection was issued during arraignment.
After being transported to the jail, a Wyoming County Jail Correctional Officer located contraband as a search of Coney’s wallet was conducted. Two sealed suboxone packages were allegedly found.
On March 10, 2021, Coney was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and promoting prison contraband 2nd. He was issued appearance tickets. Coney is to appear at the Village of Warsaw Court on March 29, 2021 to answer the above charges.
Deputies responded to Barber Road and West Park Road in the Town of Castile for a one vehicle accident with injuries on March 13, 2021. Deputies located a female in the driver seat, Sarah Sellers, 36, of Silver Springs.
Sellers allegedly showed multiple signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving while the ability impaired by alcohol.
After an investigation, it was found that Sellers was traveling eastbound on Barber Road when she failed to negotiate the curve onto West Park Road. Sellers then went off the north side of Barber Road and struck a rock wall and multiple trees before coming to a stop on the east side of West Park Road. The vehicle sustained heavy damage.
A breath test was conducted. Sellers registered a positive result of 0.26% BAC.
She is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more of alcohol, aggravated DWI-alcohol content .18 or higher, failure to keep right, refusal to take breath test and consumption alcohol in motor vehicle. Sellers is to appear in the Town of Castile Court on March 29, 2021 to answer the above charges.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Chaffee Road just west of Route 98 in the Town of Java on March 12, 2021, for a possible overdose inside a vehicle. While in route, deputies were advised that the caller was the operator and possibly overdosing on edibles. North Java Ambulance was requested to the scene to assist.
The male caller was identified as Christopher Darling, 21, of Arcade. North Java Ambulance medically checked Darling and he later signed off on any additional medical treatment. He performed poorly on field sobriety testing and was then arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Darling was transported to the Arcade Police Department to undergo a drug influence evaluation with a NYS certified drug recognition expert. After the evaluation, the DRE advised it was his expert opinion that Darling was impaired by cannabis and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.
He was was charged with driving while ability impaired by a drug. Darling is to appear in the Town of Java Court on April 7, 2021 to answer the above charges.
Derick S. Forsyth, 40, of Wyoming, was arrested following the investigation of a one car crash on Lamb Road in the Town of Covington on March 12, 2021. Forsyth was the sole occupant of a black 2020 Hyundai which had been eastbound on Lamb Road. The Hyundai drove off the north side of the roadway, struck a utility pole, and came to rest down an embankment.
After a roadside investigation, Forsyth performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was found to have a positive presence of alcohol on his breath. Forsyth was arrested and taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He is charged with DWI, driving With .08% BAC or higher, and moving from a lane unsafely. Forsyth was issued an appearance ticket, and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Covington Court on March 29, 2021. Wyoming Fire Department, Medic 80, and Eddy’s Collision assisted at the scene.
Jennifer T. Young, 56, of Orangeville, was arrested following a domestic incident on Syler Road in the Town of Orangeville on March 14, 2021. Young allegedly punched, kicked, and repeatedly threatened to kill another person during a domestic dispute.
Young was arrested and charged with attempted assault 3rd degree and menacing 3rd degree. Young was processed at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, and she was then arraigned virtually in front of the Town of Warsaw Court. A stay away order was set in place, and Young was released following arraignment.
Young is scheduled for further court action in Wyoming County Court on March 19, 2021.
