Colleen L. Nelson, 49, of Alabama, has been indicted by a Genesee County Grand Jury and is accused of attempted murder 2nd degree, a class B violent felony, after a stabbing in the town of Elba on July 29, 2020.
Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to a business on South Main street about 1:30p.m. An investigation revealed that Nelson came up behind another employee and allegedly started stabbing him with a large knife. The 59 year old victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
In count 2, Nelson is accused of criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly possessing a dangerous knife with intent to use it unlawfully against another person.
