GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Alabama man facing felony charges after being found with illegal firearms

Marc C.J. Cook Sr., 30, of Church St., Alabama, is charged with 5 counts of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony, and 2 counts of criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony, after the execution of a search warrant at his residence on Friday morning, May 21, 2021.

The Genesee County Local Drug Task Force, upon searching Cook’s home, found him to allegedly be in possession of brass knuckles, two “Kung Fu Stars” and two firearms(revolvers).

Cook was virtually arraigned in front of Judge Charles Zambito and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice on the weapon and firearm charges.

In addition, Cook was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants. He was arrested on a bench warrant out of the City of Batavia Court for criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd. He was also arrested on a warrant from Genesee County Family Court for a family court violation. He was released under supervision on the first warrant and bail was set at $100 on the Family Court warrant.

Task Force members were assisted by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies, State Police SORT, and the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office.
