Coyne was a patient in the emergency department at which time she barricaded herself inside a room after causing an estimated $16,631.95 worth of damage to an emergency department room and equipment.
Wyoming County Sheriff Deputies responded to the scene and assisted emergency department personnel with controlling Coyne. Coyne was ultimately transferred to ECMC where she later absconded. A warrant of arrest was signed by Warsaw Village Court Justice Fusani, and on June 29, 2021 Coyne turned herself into the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
Coyne was arraigned in front of the Warsaw Village Court on the charge of criminal mischief in the second degree, a class D felony, and was released following arraignment. Coyne is scheduled to return to the Warsaw Village Court on July 12, 2021. Warsaw Village Police and New York State Police also assisted.
Raymond L. Brady, 29, of Elmira, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Warsaw on June 20, 2021.
Brady was stopped for equipment infractions at which time Brady was observed to be exhibiting signs of impairment. Brady was allegedly found to be in possession of a concentrated cannabis vaporizer, and Brady then performed poorly on standardized field sobriety testing.
He was taken into custody, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Brady was transported to the Arcade Police Department where a NYS Certified Drug Recognition Expert conducted a drug influence evaluation. He was determined to be impaired by cannabis and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
Brady was transported back to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with DWAI/drugs, consumption of cannabis in a motor vehicle, obstructed rear plate, and illegal window tint. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Warsaw Court on June 28, 2021.
During the course of this traffic stop, a probable cause search of Brady’s vehicle was performed.
Underneath the front seat, a 9MM magazine was recovered which was fully loaded with 19 rounds of 9MM ammunition, and which was concealed inside a black sock. Through further investigation, further evidence recovery, and roadside interview, probable cause was developed to obtain a search warrant for Brady’s residence.
The Elmira Police Department was contacted, and Elmira Police Investigators obtained a search warrant from Elmira City Court. Elmira Police executed a search warrant at Brady’s residence in the City of Elmira where they recovered the following:
[1] 9MM Smith & Wesson handgun inside a backpack, [2] .38 Special Charter Arms Revolver inside a backpack, [3] Ammunition for both handguns inside a backpack, and [4] 28 Oxycodone Pills inside a clear plastic baggie
Brady was determined to be in illegal possession of the above mentioned property due to not having a pistol permit and not having a valid prescription for the Oxycodone. The evidence was held by Elmira Police Department who will continue their investigation.
