A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Rae C. Cook accusing her of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, a class D felony, after Cook allegedly knowingly possessed a dangerous instrument, scissors, with intent to use them against another person during an incident in the City of Batavia on October 2, 2021.
In Count 2, Cook is accused of assault 2nd degree, a class D violent felony, in the same incident mentioned above, after causing physical injury to a person by means of a dangerous instrument, scissors.
Cook was previously convicted of the crime of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, on October 10, 2019 in the City of Batavia. This conviction forms the basis for Count 1 of the above indictment.

Joshua L. Webster has been indicted and is accused of the crime of aggravated criminal contempt, a class D felony, after allegedly violating an order of protection that Webster was aware of on September 12, 2021 in the Town of LeRoy. Webster is accused of intentionally or recklessly causing physical injury or serious physical injury to a person whose protection such order was issued for.
In Count 2, he is further accused of assault 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, on the same above date and location, after recklessly causing physical injury to another person.
In Count 3, Webster is accused of criminal contempt 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, on the same above date and location, after intentionally disobeying or resisting the lawful process or order of a court that was issued by the Town of Batavia Court on August 27, 2021, directing him to stay away from the victim.
