GENESEE COUNTY/Independent Living of the Genesee Region promotes Ida Caldwell to be Assistant Director

Press release: Independent Living of the Genesee Region (ILGR), a member of the Western New York Independent Living, Inc. Family of Agencies, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ida Caldwell to be their new Assistant Director as of May 16, 2022.

At the time she was hired by ILGR in November 2021, Ms. Caldwell had worked as a Project Coordinator at Arc GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, Wyoming Counties) for 27 years, and two more years previously as a Family Advocate/Service Coordinator at The Arc of Orleans County in Albion.

Ida holds a number of certifications: New York State Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Authorized Support Broker for Self-Direction Services; Certified Person-Centered Planner; and Service Coordination Training from The Arc New York, (formerly NYSARC, Inc. and the New York State Association for Retarded Children).  Ms. Caldwell has been a Past and Present Board/Committee Member of Various Community Organizations and Schools.

In her new supervisory position, Ida will assist the Director in the administration of Independent Living of the Genesee Region and provide direction supervision of staff.  ILGR is delighted that Ida Caldwell is bringing her considerable experience to serve the GOW region in her new capacity
