BATAVIA/Woman charged with DWI after striking a parked vehicle and a police K-9 vehicle

A Batavia woman has been charged after striking a parked SUV and a City of Batavia Police Department K-9 Unit vehicle on Bank street, between Denio street and Chandler avenue, on June 4, 2022.

Mary Dorman, age 36, of Batavia is charged with DWI, and vehicle and traffic violations in the incident, according to Police Chief Shawn Heubusch.

Heubusch says the City of Batavia Police K-9 vehicle did sustain significant front-end damage and is inoperable currently. No one was injured, including the K-9.

For now, the K-9 team is using a different vehicle.
