BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/Bergen man jailed without bail after physical altercation on Oak street

Strangulation 2nd; Attempted Assault 3rd; Petit Larceny, 6:18 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Oak St. – On 6/8/2022, Joel D. PROUTY M/36 of Bergen, NY, was arrested for strangulation in the second degree, attempted assault third degree, and petit larceny, after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with a female victim. Prouty was arraigned in Batavia City Court on 6/9/2022 at 9:30AM where he was committed to the Genesee County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to Batavia City Court on 6/29/2022, at 1:00 PM.    

Trespass, 5:54 PM, Monday, June 13, 2022, E. Main St. – On 6/13/2022, Johnnie M. WASTON, M/39 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge. Waston allegedly returned to a local business where he was previously told to not return. Waston was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/29/2022.  

Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 4:27 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022, Ellsworth Ave. – On 6/9/2022, Megan A. GREGG, F/28 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge. It’s alleged that GREGG left controlled prescription pills and drug paraphernalia in an area that was accessible to a child that lives in the residence. Gregg was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/14/2022.  

Arrest Warrant, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, W. Main St. – Christopher P THOMAS, M/38 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court. Thomas turned himself in at the Batavia Police Department and was processed and released with a new court date of 6/21/2022 at 1:00 PM.  

Disorderly Conduct, 7:01 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, E. Main St. – Amanda L. HUBER, F/40 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charge following an investigation. Huber engaged in a physical altercation while in a public place. She was issued an appearance ticket and released. Huner is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/28/2022 at 1:00 PM.  

Disorderly Conduct, 7:00 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, E. Main St. – Erik R. MOTQUIN, M/40 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge following a fight in a public building on E. Main St. Motquin was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/21/2022 at 1:00 PM for arraignment.  

Criminal Contempt 1st Degree; Harassment 2nd; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 10:10 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, Porter Ave. – Tarrence Y. WILLIAMS, M/22 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charges following a domestic incident investigation. Williams allegedly had physical contact with a protected party of an order of protection while in the presence of a juvenile. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Burns. Williams was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/23/2022 at 1:30 PM. He was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and released.  

Driving While Intoxicated; Failure to keep right; Moved from lane unsafely, 10:45 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, Bank St. – On 6/4/2022, Officer POST arrested Mary E. Dorman, F/36 of Batavia, NY, for driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, and moved from lane unsafely after she allegedly drove a motor vehicle while intoxicated, striking a parked car and then causing a head on collision with a City of Batavia Police Cruiser. On 6/5/2022, at 10:18 AM, DORMAN was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS in Batavia City Court who released DORMAN on her own recognizance with a return date of 6/23/2022 at 1:30 PM.  

Endangering the Welfare of Child, 3:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, Washington Ave. – On 6/12/2022, McKenzie N. O’CONNELL, F/19 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. O’Connell allegedly provided marijuana to two juveniles and permitted them to smoke it in her residence. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on 6/28/2022, at 1:00 PM and released.  

Aggravated DWI: PER SE – BAC >.18% – 1 Prior Conviction within 10 years; DWI Previous Conviction within 10 years; Moved from lane unsafely, 2:12 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2022, Harvester Ave. – On 6/11/2022, Andrew J. CARR, F/40 of Pavilion, NY, was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated DWI – .18% BAC or higher. Carr was also issued uniform traffic ticket for moving from a lane unsafely. Carr was then released,
