Members of the nonprofit group say they may close their doors, leaving the towns of Barre, Gaines, Carlton and Albion without ambulance service.COVA responded to 96% of their calls this past year.Members of the ambulance service say only one out of the four towns showed up at the last meeting.The ambulance service says the reason for the lack of funds has been caused by low insurance payments, people who keep their insurance checks and the higher cost for equipment, gas, and wages.Friday’s Rally raised $3400.
