BATAVIA/Police make arrest in stabbing

Tyshon L. Taylor, 25, has been arrested in reference to a stabbing that occurred on October 18, 2022 at approximately 9:30 PM on Jackson Street.

Taylor allegedly encountered the victim walking down the street and stabbed him in the abdomen. Taylor then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to ECMC where they were treated for their injuries and hospitalized. The victim did survive the attack.

Taylor is charged with attempted murder 2nd, assault 1st degree, and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree.

Taylor was arraigned in Batavia City Court before Judge Burns and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.

He is scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on Novemver 10, 2022 at 1:30 PM.
