According to Perry Police Chief Michael Grover, an officer suffered a medical condition as he was turning left off Borden Avenue onto North Main Street as he was attempting to pullover a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The police cruiser collided with a tree, a bench and a building on the north side of North Main Street.
Chief Grover says the officer was transported to WCCH to be checked out and is okay. The officer was released a few hours later.
No other injuries were reported in the incident that occurred in the 12:30a.m. hour Sunday morning.
