Nantu Khan, 54, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on December 9, 2022. Khan was stopped by Sheriff’s deputies for speeding, and he was observed to be displaying general indicators of drug impairment.
A subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a fake United States $100 dollar bill. Khan performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and was arrested and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
Khan was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert who determined Khan to allegedly be impaired by a drug and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Khan is charged with DWAI/drugs, speeding in a zone, consumption of cannabis in motor vehicle, failure to dim high beams, and possession of a forged instrument first degree.
Khan was released following processing, and is scheduled to appear in Sheldon Town Court on December 19, 2022.
