On December 29, 2022, at about 7:32a.m., Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies and NYS Police responded to a residence on Warsaw Boulevard, in the Village of Silver Springs, for a domestic incident between the complainant and Mark W. Knitter, 25, of Wyoming, NY.
It was reported that during the dispute, Knitter had kicked a door and a 10-month-old child was inside of the residence. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered through interviews and evidence, that Knitter had forced his way through a locked bedroom door, causing the door to break, and caused the victims to be in fear of physical injury.
Knitter was arrested and charged with criminal mischief 4th degree, menacing 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Knitter was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court in front of the Honorable Judge Sundt and the Wyoming County Public Defender’s Office was present to represent Knitter. Following the arraignment, Knitter was released on his own recognizance, as none of the charges qualified for bail per the New York State Bail Reform, and a full stay away order of protection was issued protecting the victims. Knitter is scheduled to appear in the Village of Silver Springs Court at a later date.

On January 4th, 2023, at about12:44p.m., deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office were asked to contact a female regarding domestic violence. During the phone interview with the female, the suspect, Michael L. Machovoe, 40, of Silver Springs, NY, arrived at the residence. At that time the female was directed by deputies to leave the residence for her safety.
About 1:06p.m., deputies received a 911 call from the female stating that she was en route to Wyoming County Family Court and Machovoe was allegedly following her on Route 19 in the Town of Gainesville, swerving all over the roadway and was reportedly highly intoxicated.
Deputies responded to the area, but Machovoe had reportedly stopped following the female.
Deputies eventually followed up with Machovoe at this residence and during the interview, Machovoe showed signs of impairment and a DWI investigation was conducted.
Following standardized field sobriety testing, which Machovoe did not perform as directed, he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
While at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Machovoe refused to submit to a chemical test, and was ultimately charged with DWI and uninspected motor vehicle.
Machovoe was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Fusani in Warsaw Town Court, where he was released on his own recognizance, as none of the charges were qualifying offenses for bail. Machovoe’s license was suspended pending prosecution and he is scheduled to appear in the Village of Silver Springs Court at a later date.

Jermain X. Jackson, 52, of Mount Morris, NY was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 246 in the Town of Perry on January 14, 2023.
Jackson was stopped following an observation of a brake light violation and found to have a suspended license due to failing to appear on a previous traffic ticket.
Jackson is charged with inadequate brake lamp and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree. Jackson was released with an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Perry Court on 02/01/2023.

On December 28, 2022, at about 10:05p.m., deputies were patrolling northbound on Linwood Avenue in the Village of Warsaw, when a vehicle was observed traveling northbound left of center and then turning into a private driveway without using a turn signal. The vehicle also matched the descriptions of an erratic driving complaint that came into the village on South Main Street.
Deputies performed a vehicle and traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Lynn P. Carlson, 62, of Warsaw, NY. During the roadside interview, deputies observed Carlson allegedly exhibit several indicators of possible impairment and started a roadside DWI investigation, which included standardized field sobriety testing.
Following field sobriety testing, which Carlson performed poorly, Carlson was placed under arrest and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test.
Carlson is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or greater, aggravated DWI with .18% BAC or greater, failure to keep right and failure to signal. Carlson was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Warsaw Village Court at a later date.

Following an investigation into multiple shoplifting incidents at Wal-Mart in the Town of Warsaw, Shaun M. Koch, 45, of Bliss, NY, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office on January 10, 2023.
Koch is charged with two counts of petit larceny after incidents that occurred in January and December. Koch was issued appearance tickets on both counts that are returnable to the Town of Warsaw Court on 1/23/23.
