On March 11, 2023, at approximately 6:25p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop after observing vehicle and traffic violations on Route 20A
in the Town of Sheldon.
The operator of the vehicle identified himself as Michael E. Pitts, 28, of Staten Island, NY.
Pitts was found to have 12 active suspensions on his driver’s license on 7 separate dates. He was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, unlicensed operator and speeding in a zone.
Pitts was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.

Madelynn Thayer, 76, of Warsaw, NY, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and charged with driving while intoxicated after an investigation and multiple complaints of an erratic driver on March 9, 2023.
Thayer was arrested and arraigned in Warsaw Town Court before being released. She is scheduled to
return to Warsaw Court on 04/17/2023 at 2:00p.m.

James Kenner, 19, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office on a Superior Court warrant on March 14, 2023. Kenner was arrested upon release from Cattaraugus County Jail. Kenner was held at the Wyoming County Jail until his appearance before the Wyoming County Court, at a later date.
