On April 28, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Christopher Bitsas, 41, of Warsaw, NY, charging him with assault 3rd degree.
After an investigation of an assault on Warsaw Blvd., in the village of Silver Springs, troopers determined that the suspect, Bitsas, was responsible for causing injury to the victim.
He was arrested and processed at SP Warsaw. He was arraigned in the village of Warsaw Court and released on his own recognizance. Bitsas was ordered to appear at the village of Silver Springs court at a later date and an order of protection was issued.

On April 5, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested George S. Herold, 64, of Java, NY, for driving while intoxicated and unregistered motor vehicle.
Troopers stopped Herold on Welch Road for an expired registration.
Herold was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and transported to SP Warsaw for processing Herold recorded a .08% BAC.
Herold was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Java court for May 17, 2023.
