Erika Siverling(left) and Erica Grazioplene(right) have teamed up to open Releve Dancewear Boutique inside City Center. The pair have known each other since grade school and graduated from Batavia High School in 1995.
When Erika Siverling’s two girls were involved in dance, they always had to drive to Buffalo and Rochester to get what they needed for the dance season.
“I think for myself, it’s just with having kids grow up in the dance world, I didn’t have everything local, so I would have to take time off from work and go up to the city to get their dance apparel and sometimes you get there, and they didn’t have your size,” says Siverling.
Erika’s two girls are now 27 and 21. They grew up taking classes with Erica Grazioplene from age 3-18.
Grazioplene owns KMS Dance Studio at 85 Main Street in Batavia.
Grazioplene knows that her students and the close to 10 other dance schools in the area are very excited about the opening of Releve Dancewear Boutique inside the City Center, Suite 31.
“My daughter is 13 and it will be nice for her to come in here and bring her friends and her dance friends in here to be able to purchase leotards. tights and sweatshirts, the things that they want,” says Grazioplene.
Releve Dancewear Boutique carries dance leotards, skirts, tights, ballet and lyrical shoes, dance bags, biker shorts, leggings, shorter shorts, highway shorts, totes, sweatshirts, dance undergarments, and clothing for under their costumes.
“I think we have good quality dancewear, things that you won’t notice online, things you may not look for like lined body suits. The quality of the product is really nice and its local and were both local. It’s convenient to have this in town, especially with store hours, we want to make sure it was convenient for those who work late nights,” says Siverling.
The store has two fitting rooms for dance students to be able to try items on.
“We’re not trying to take away from any other dance stores, retail stores, or boutiques. We just want to do something that has fun novelty things, your basics and some other things on top of that, but its more for convenience for parents, knowing what we’ve gone through,” says Siverling.
Releve Dancewear Boutique is open Tuesday through Friday, 11am-8:00pm and Saturday 9:00AM-2PM. Sunday and Monday they are closed. There is also an exterior door entrance at the store across from Panda Chinese Restaurant for when the City Centre closes earlier in the day.
