A physical domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Arcade on July 23rd, 2023, led to the arrest of David G. Heckathorn, 53, of Arcade, NY, on multiple domestic violence charges.
Deputies responded to a residence after multiple 911 calls had come in for a report of a
physical altercation between a male and female. Further investigation found that Heckathorn had allegedly assaulted a female victim during the domestic incident.
Heckathorn is charged with the assault in the third degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree
Heckathorn was arraigned in the Town of Arcade Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Town of Arcade Court on August 3, 2023. A full stay away order of protection was also issued at the time of arraignment.

On July 26, 2023, deputies responded to a residence in Bennington after receiving a report of a possible violation of a stay away order of protection.
Once on location, and after an investigation, Daysean Brasswell Adams, 23, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and aggravated family offense.
Braswell-Adams was arraigned on the charges and held to the Wyoming County Jail on bail.

On July 14, 2023, at approximately 9:32AM, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on State Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon after observing a
violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Tyshon King. King was found to have 13 active suspensions on his license at the time of the traffic stop and was subsequently arrested.
Further investigation revealed that King’s vehicle had displayed license plates belonging to a different vehicle. During processing, King was found to allegedly be in possession of a forged New York State license and a credit card, bearing the name of another person.
King is charged with possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, along with multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
King was arraigned and released on his own recognizance, in accordance with the New York State Bail Reform. King is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.

Shawnna Lamont, 33, of Perry, NY, was arrested on July 26th, 2023, by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office at an address on Page Road in the Town of Perry due to having 4 active warrants for her
arrest.
Two Warrants stem from current cases in Wyoming County while two were issued in Genesee County.
While in Jail, Lamont was also arrested on an additional case stemming from a June 21st incident at the same address on Page Road.
Lamont is charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree, criminal contempt
2nd degree, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, following a complaint
where Lamont is accused of taking another person’s vehicle without their permission while also having a suspended license.
The victim also had an order of protection against Lamont already in effect from a previous arrest.
Lamont was arraigned in Wyoming County Court and held on the new charges with a bail of
$2,500 and is scheduled to return to the Town of Perry Court at a later date

On July 21st, 2023, at around 10:43PM, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was
operating stationary patrol on State Route 63 in the Town of Covington, when a black four-door
sedan was observed traveling southeast at 73mph in a marked 55mph zone.
A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted on State Route 63 near Peoria Road, and the driver was identified as Roger A. Witt Jr., 64, of Bridgewater, NJ.
A DMV data check showed Witt’s operating privileges in New York were suspended. He was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and speed over 55. Witt was processed roadside and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Covington Court at a later date.

On July 17, 2023, at approximately 10:51PM, a Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic
stop on a vehicle on State Route 77 in the Town of Bennington.
After a brief investigation, the driver, Jameson Brunn, 19, of Wales, NY, was found to allegedly be in possession of a controlled substance.
Brunn was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.
Brunn was released on appearance tickets and is to appear at Bennington Town Court on August 7, 2023.

On July 18, 2023, at approximately 12:32AM, a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a
traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of State Route 77 and State
Route 354.
After speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Marvin Curry, 27, of Lawtons, NY, the deputy
recognized signs of possible impairment from alcohol. Curry was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing which he performed poorly on.
Curry was then transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC). Curry BAC was confirmed to be .08% or higher. Curry was also found to have a suspended NYS driver’s license with a total of 10 suspensions and the vehicle Curry was operating had a suspended registration.
Curry was arrested and charged with DWI, driving with a .08% BAC or higher, aggravated
unlicensed operation 1st degree, operating with suspended registration, and other traffic infractions.
Curry was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in Bennington Town Court on August 7, 2023.

On July 21st, 2023, at around 7:33AM, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was operating stationary patrol on State Route 63, in the Town of Covington, when a grey SUV was observed traveling southeast with no NYS inspection or NYS registration stickers displayed on the front windshield.
A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted on State Route 63 near the Livingston County Line and the driver was identified as Grace E. Judge, 26, of Batavia.
A DMV data check showed Judge’s license was suspended and the vehicle’s inspection had
expired on 01/31/2022.
Judge was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor.

Following a traffic stop for a speeding violation on Route 63 in the Town of Covington on July 21, 2023, Tyler W. Dyke, 32, of Mount Morris, NY was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.
Dyke was showing to have one active suspension on his license for an insurance lapse. Dyke is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree and speeding in a 55-mph speed limit zone.
Dyke was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Covington Court on August 7, 2023.

Alton Hilson, 46, of Niagara Falls NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the
Town of Sheldon on July 28, 2023.
Hilson was observed westbound on Route 20A operating a vehicle with illegal window tint.
During the traffic stop, Wyoming County deputies found Hilson’s NY driving privileges to be
suspended. Hilson is charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation and a
window tint violation. Hilson was released with an appearance ticket and will appear in the Sheldon Town
Court at a later date.

On July 21, 2023, at approximately 11:20AM, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon after observing a
vehicle passing in a no-passing zone.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Andrew Black, 32, of Buffalo, NY, who was found to have one active suspension on his New York State driver’s license.
Black is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd Degree and was issued an appearance
ticket returnable to the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.

On July 21, 2023, at approximately 4:56PM, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Perry, after observing
violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The operator of the vehicle was identified by New York State driver’s license as Majed Gabr, 40, of Buffalo, NY. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the registration of the vehicle was suspended due to an insurance lapse.
Gabr is charged with operating while registration suspended/revoked as well as
other vehicle and traffic law offenses. GABR was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled
to appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date.

Austin McNamara, 32, of Tennessee, was arrested by Wyoming County Sheriff’s, after a
traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville on July 20, 2023. McNamara was observed allegedly traveling at a rate of 77MPH.
During a traffic stop, it was discovered that McNamara’s New York license was suspended twelve times with 11 scoffs on 9 dates.
He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third Degree, and speeding in a 55MPH zone.
McNamara is to answer the charges at a later date.

On July 23, 2023, Eric Vanburen, 40, of Freedom, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop.
A Wyoming County deputy was patrolling south on State Route 19 in the Town of Pike, when a
northbound vehicle was observed at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated.
The driver, Eric Vanburen, was found to have suspended NY driving privileges with two suspensions.
Vanburen was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree,
and speed over 55MPH.
Vanburen was released to a valid driver with an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Pike Town Court at a later date.
