Owen C. Scouten, 22, of Batavia, NY, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, speed not reasonable and prudent, moving from a lane unsafely and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, after a one vehicle accident in the area of 8215 Lewiston Road on August 20, 2023 at 1:16a.m.
After an investigation, it was discovered that Scouten was the operator of the vehicle that was involved in an accident. Two passengers in the vehicle sustained multiple injuries and were transported to the hospital.
Further charges are pending against Scouten depending on the severity of the passenger’s injuries.
Scouten was issued uniform traffic tickets and will appear in Batavia Town Court on September 7, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

On August 14, 2023, at 7:38p.m., Owen C. Scouten, 22, of Elba, NY, was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, speeding in a zone and moving from a lane unsafely on Broadway Road in Alexander.
Scouten was released with traffic tickets and will appear in Alexander Town Court on August 29, 2023 at 5:00p.m.
